Annual Clean Up Dates

Location & Availability

The Township’s annual clean up day that is held on a Saturday from 8:00AM to 12:00PM, typically within the first three weekends after Memorial Day. Cleanup days are available to all Beaugrand Township property owners.

The site is located at the township hall: 1999 Old Mackinaw Rd. Cheboygan, Michigan 49721

 

Sorting & Eligible Items

  • Garbage compactors and large dumpsters will be provided for everything except hazardous waste.
  • Lyon’s Northland Auto will provide a truck to accept all metal materials and all freon-free appliances.
  • Please make arrangements to take computers, printers, TV’s, non-latex paints, stains, & varnishes to the Fair Grounds any Wed., May through October between 12:00PM – 3:00PM.
  • The drop off for tree stumps, branches, & leaves is currently closed for the purpose of having the property cleaned up and cleared.

We do NOT accept the following:

  • No regular household garbage
  • No tires
  • No hazardous waste (batteries, paint, etc.).

Yard Waste Disposal Site

Location & Availability

The disposal site is located on Rose Rd. and is available to all Beaugrand Township property owners. Residents must contact a Board Member for a gate key in order to access the property. Please note that this site is primary for leaves, brush, and stumps.

Recycling

Dates, Times, & Locations

Recycling is available to the residents of Beaugrand Township at many drop-off locations throughout Cheboygan County. The closest location to our township is behind the Cheboygan County Building (870 S. Main St., Cheboyan, MI 49721) in the city of Cheboygan.

Household Hazardous Wastes Weekly Dropoff

Dates, Times, & Locations

Bring hazardous items to Cheboygan County Fairgrounds office on Lincoln Ave., Wednesdays between 1:00pm & 3:00pm.

 

Eligible Items

Adhesives, Sealers, & Tar

  • Aerosol cans or propane tanks or other flammables.
  • Antifreeze.
  • Either ethylene or propylene glycol based antifreeze, in secure, sturdy, look-proof containers that you can leave behind.

 

Appliances, Small & Large

Automotive Fluids

  • Includes hydraulic fluid, fuel oil, automatic transmission fluid, lube oils, diesel fuel, gasoline, or oil contaminated with gas or water.

 

Batteries

  • Rechargeable and non-rechargeable.

 

Electronics

  • Includes computers, televisions, phones etc.

 

Fluorescent Light Bulbs and Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

  • Do not break bulbs, they contain mercury.
  • No incandescent (ordinary) or halogen bulbs, which should be put with your trash.

 

Paints

  • Oil-based, wood finishes, shellac, varnish, wood protectors, latex-based paint manufacturer before 1980.
  • No water based paints – instead mix with kitty litter to a stiff, putty-like consistency, seal containers tightly, and put in with trash.

 

Tires, On or Off the Rim
